Australia - South Australia - Barossa - Turkey Flat Vineyards

Interesting note - Turkey Flat owns 100% of the vineyards it uses.

2005 "Butcher's Block" Marsanne Viognier
Very pale straw, touch of green. Nose of pineapple, sweet lime. Surprisingly tight, dark flavors. Grew on me a little bit, but not generous enough with the flavors. AU$18

2005 Grenache
Very nice complex nose, red raspberries. Easy drinking. Still has a touch of grape soda. Not as complex in your mouth as the nose would lead you to expect. Finish is relatively long, but very simple. AU$20

2005 Rosé Grenache / Shiraz / Cabernet Sauvignon / Dolcetto
They consider this their flagship wine and it's the one they sell the most of. Beautiful almost hot pink color. Green apple flavors, surprising amount of tannin and backbone. Nice finish, very dry and crisp.

2005 "Butcher's Block" Red
Medium dark. Beautiful round mouthfeel. Nice juicy flavors, very fruit forward. Seems like it should cost a lot more. Big red raspberry flavors. Grenache is very evident. AU$22.50

Pedro Jimenez
Light chocolate color. A bit of a letdown after visiting Seppelts. Smooth, almost creamy texture.
