Australia - Western Australia - Margaret River - Pierro

2006 Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon
Minerally nose, not much of the classic Sauvignon Blanc aroma, more grassy. Serious lemon meringue pie taste. Intense, concentrated initial taste. AU$23

2005 Chardonnay
Pale straw, hint of green. Buttery malolactic nose, touch of tropical fruit, guava. Buttery but citrussy. For some reason the creaminess comes through to me as cashews. Well balanced. Extremely long and nice finish that just keeps on changing and evolving. Amazing complex wine. AU$67

2004 Pinot Noir
Very pale, almost rosé colored. Smells like wet wool, a bit of wood. Kind of sour, not much fruit. Long finish, but not the pinot flavors I usually like. A lot like the California pinots I'm not crazy about. Stemmy, tree leafy flavors. AU$41

2003 Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot
Cherry skin red color. Bit of green cabernet nose. Tastes include chocolate, cherry, and a bit of oak. Easy soft sweet tannins. AU$32
